Thomas J. "Tom" Kriegel, 62, of Brooklyn, Iowa, died Monday, April 14, 2014, at Brooklyn Community Estate. Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Monday, April 21, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Brooklyn, with Father Brian Shepley
officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Brooklyn. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, April 20, at Kloster Funeral Home, Brooklyn, with a Scripture service at 7 p.m.
A memorial fund has been established.
Thomas Joseph Kriegel was born April 21, 1951, in Grinnell, Iowa, the fifth of 13 children born to William and Catherine Pfiffner Kriegel.
He is survived by his siblings, Francis (Marilyn) Kriegel of Victor, Joanne (Gary) Phillips of Marshall-town, Jane (Mike) Glasford of Crooks, S.D., Raphael (Diane) Kriegel of Montezuma, Theresa (Tom) Goeke of Pueblo West, Colo., Elizabeth (Charles) Cretin of Eldora, Vincent Kriegel of Crooks, S.D., Margaret Carlton (Darrell Beason) of Brooklyn, David (Chelle) Kriegel of Laurel, Dor-othy (Nathan) Allen of Winterset, Ted (Tammy) Kriegel of Brooklyn and Agnes (James) Crabtree of Brooklyn; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William John and Catherine Roberta Pfiffner Kriegel; two nephews, Lloyd and Walter Kriegel; and a great-niece, Ashley Phillips.
