Dawn Nicole Trosclair, 34, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, April 8, 2017, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, Ill. Funeral services: 11 a.m. Thursday, April 13, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. A visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, at Cedar Memorial Chapel Stateroom and two hours before the service. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Dawn was born Nov. 11, 1982, the daughter of David and Ellen (Parfait) Trosclair in Houma, La. She enjoyed singing, music and writing poetry. Dawn was a very outspoken person, who loved her family very much.
She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her son, D'Aaron Nells; parents, David and Ellen Trosclair; three siblings, Edward "Bud" Trosclair, Brittany Jones and David "Dugan" Trosclair Jr.; grandparents, Joseph and Betty Trosclair; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Hilton and Josephine Parfait and Jean Trosclair; great-grandparents, Joseph Sr. and Ella "Me-Maw" Trosclair; and cousin, Lucas Verdin.
