Warren, David C. (Dave)

David C. (Dave) Warren, 84, retired teacher, coach and athletic official, passed away Monday, April 18, 2011. His memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at the First United Methodist in Winfield, Kan., with a reception to follow in the fellowship hall. Private family inurnment. Friends may sign a registry book from 3 to 8 p.m. today and family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Swisher-Taylor & Morris Funeral Home, Winfield.

Dave was born April 21, 1926, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He parents were Merb and Mabel (Crosen) Warren. He graduated from McKinley High School in 1944, and attended Coe College, both in Cedar Rapids, and was a graduate of Southwestern College in Winfield, Kan., in 1951.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bob and Don; and a sister, Betty.

He is survived by his wife, Luanne of the home; sons, Mike and wife Debbie of Great Bend, Kan, and Pat and wife Angie of Kansas City, Mo.; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
