Highway 30 crash ejects driver, leaves nitrogen tank in median

UPDATE: A Danville man was ejected from his pickup in a rollover crash on Highway 30 near the Linn/Benton county line this morning.
According to the Linn County Sheriff's Office, Daniel R. Beckman, 36, of Danville was westbound on Highway 30, just east of Linn-Benton Road, around 9:30 a.m. today when he lost control of his pickup on the ice-covered roadway.
The truck entered the median and overturned, flipping several times and ejecting Beckman before landing in the eastbound lanes of Highway 30.
He was taken to St. Luke's Hospital for treatment, but his injuries aren't believed to be life-threatening, officials said.
The truck was carrying a tank of liquid nitrogen, but the tank was secured and no nitrogen was spilled, officials said.
Emegency responders from Benton County, Linn County and Atkins were called to the scene.
