Bulman, John H.
John H. Bulman, 68, of Marion, died Monday, Aug. 20, 2012, in his home following a brief illness with cancer. A funeral mass celebrating John's life will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 24, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Prairieburg, with the Rev. David O'Connor officiating. Burial will be in Blodgett Cemetery, rural Central City. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include his loving wife, Karen; daughter, Brenda (Gordy) Bohannon of Marion; son, John H. Bulman Jr. of Central City; grandsons, Jason, Zachary, Matthew and Jordan Bohannon; brothers, Randy (Rachel) Bulman of Blairstown, and Gary (Lynn) Bulman of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; and half brother, Lloyd (Dody) Bulman of Marion.
He was preceded in death by his parents; half sister, Eileen Anderson; and a half brother, Lester Bulman.
John H. Bulman was born Jan. 15, 1944, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of John and Evelyn (Hemmersbach) Bulman. On April 4, 1964, he married Karen Kula in Prairieburg. John worked for Northwestern Bell for many years as a repairman. He enjoyed working on cars with his son, John, gardening, repairing lawn mowers, going to garage sales and to the casino. He enjoyed being with his family, especially his grandsons. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
