Votroubek, Mary Delores
Mary Delores Votroubek, 95, of 3500 Sheridan Dr. SE, died Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009, in Mercy Medical Center. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with the Rev. David O'Connor of All Saints Catholic Church officiating. Burial: St. John's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, with a scriptural wake service beginning at 5 p.m. and a Catholic Daughters rosary service at 5:30 p.m.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Jo, and her son, Mike, both of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Godfrey; and siblings, Clara, Libby and George.
Mary was born Aug. 12, 1914, in Cedar Rapids, to Aloysius and Clara Kabala Kofron. She married Godfrey Votroubek at St. Ludmila Catholic Church in June 1930. She worked at Quaker Oats and was devoted to raising her family. She was a member of Catholic Daughters and a charter member of All Saints Catholic Church. Family life was always very important for Mary. She treasured her children and her faith.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the capital campaign at All Saints Parish.
