Steven Frank Zieser, 48, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Monday, Dec. 21, 2015, at Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha. A celebration of life will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 26, 2015, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Steven was born March 22, 1967, the son of Frank and Elsie (Price) Zieser, in Cedar Rapids. On June 7, 2003, he was united in marriage to Jennifer Anderson.
Steven worked as a freelance artist and was very talented. He was big into gaming and role-playing. He was an avid fan of all things sci-fi, specifically, Star Wars and Star Trek. Steven enjoyed watching cooking shows and traveling with Jennifer. They took many trips together that included Italy, Mexico and all over the United States. More than anything, Steven was a devoted husband. He and Jennifer were inseparable and he will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Zieser; parents, Frank and Elsie Zieser; siblings, Allan Zieser, Jeannine (Dave) Larcom, Roger (Wendie) Zieser and Jennifer (David) Drury; and nieces and nephews, Jenny and Paul Larcom, and Austin, Amber and Alexa Peterson.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
