Carol Jean Hansohn, 78, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, Dec. 6, 2020. Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Teahen Funeral Home by the Rev. Thomas Van Hemert. Burial: Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. During the visitation, attendance is limited to no more than 15 at a time. During the service, attendance is limited to 60 and all in attendance must wear a mask and comply with social distancing guidelines.
Carol is survived by two sons, Tim (Terey) Hansohn of Cedar Rapids and Jeff (Becca) Hansohn of Center Point; eight grandchildren, Kristy (Jared) Blanchett, Andrea (Eric) Tremain, Casey Hansohn, Kyle Olson, D.J. Hansohn, Sarah (BJ) White, Sarah and Samantha Kleinschmidt; 15 great-grandchildren; and sister, Holly Poulson of Cedar Rapids.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Dennis and Michael; and grandson, Justin Kleinschmidt.
Carol was born Feb. 2, 1942, in Storm Lake, the daughter of Warren and Vivian McAffee Larson. She graduated from Storm Lake High School in 1960. Carol married Bob Hansohn on Sept. 10, 1961, in Storm Lake. She worked at Maple Wood Group Home for Girls for 17 years.
Carol enjoyed gardening, reading and doing cross stitch.
