Mount Mercy will hold an information session on the Master of Science in Nursing program on September 20 at 5:30 p.m. in Basile Hall's Flaherty Community Room.
The information session will offer prospective graduate students an overview of the program and curriculum, a question and answer session with current students and faculty, and information on financial aid.
Mount Mercy's Master of Science in Nursing program is designed with two tracks to address the current nursing shortage across Iowa and to leverage students' ability to take advantage of local career opportunities. The Nurse Education track provides nurses with the skills necessary to address the shortage of qualified nursing faculty.
The Health Advocacy track enhances nurses' skills and allows them to grow in the healthcare field. New career opportunities in wellness, preventive care, community health, and research continue to develop as the healthcare system becomes more focused on health promotion and disease prevention.
