Mabel Elizabeth Nelson Bowden, 99, of Strawberry Point, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at the Great River Care Center in McGregor, Iowa.
Mabel is survived by two sons, Dr. Gary (Pat) Bowden of McGregor and Kent (Lisa) Bowden of Cedar Rapids; two granddaughters, Dana (Mike) Lange of Lino Lakes, Minn., and Kayne (David) Day of Cedar Rapids; one grandson, Cory (Amy) Bowden of Waukon; three great-granddaughters, Ellie and Nicole Lange and Brynn Bowden; one great-grandson, Braylen Bowden; and a sister-in-law, Frankie Bowden of Independence.

Funeral service: 2 p.m. Friday, March 24, at United Methodist Church, Strawberry Point, with the Rev. Mary Green officiating.
Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 23, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Strawberry Point, with a 7 p.m. Eastern Star service. Visitation also will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Friday.
Interment: Cass Township Cemetery, Strawberry Point.
