JEROMYE ROGERS
JEROMYE ALLEN ROGERS Fredericksburg, VA Chief Warrant Officer 3, Jeromye Allen Rogers, 46, of Fredericksburg, Va., passed away Jan. 10, 2018, "as a result of his ongoing battle with post traumatic stress disorder." Services are Feb. 26, 2019, at 1 p.m. at Old Post Chapel, Fort Myer, Arlington, Va., with full military honors at graveside in Arlington National Cemetery. He was born on Dec. 24, 1971, in Iowa City, Iowa. He graduated from City High in 1990. After a 20-year career in the Marines, he retired as a highly decorated combat veteran, having earned numerous medals, awards and citations, including three Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star with "V" for valor. He served one tour in Iraq. He leaves behind his parents, Maureen Rogers (Bill Clausen) and James (Joyce) Rogers; his wife, Lauren; his children, Evelyn and Hunter; his brothers, Toby and Austin; sisters, Tanya (Joel) Venteicher and Courtney Petrick (Brandon Parrott); his nephews, Jacob and Trevor; nieces, Jordan and Brooklynn; his grandmother, Judith McKillip; in-laws, Brenda and George Pope Jr.; and brother-in-law, Kevin. He will also be deeply missed by many, many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Keith McKillip, Noreen Donnelly and Maurice Duffy; and grandparents-in-law, Jerry and Evelyn Belden and Margaret and George Pope Sr. Donations can be made to the Jeromye Rogers Memorial Scholarship Fund (Heroes Haven) or to Chappy's Outdoors.
