Kiernan, Troy M.
Troy M. Kiernan, 40, of Marion, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012, at his home. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 20, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marion, by the Rev. Tony Kruse. Family will greet friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion. Burial will be at a later date.
Survivors include his wife, Kelly of Marion; two sons, Hunter and Colin, at home; parents, Ken and Marilyn of Cedar Rapids; brother, Todd (Linda) of Cedar Rapids; sisters, Tina (Bob) Nelson of Marion and Traci Sandeen of Cedar Rapids; in-laws, Darrell and Betty Lendt of Manchester; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Brian Knipper of Earlville, Jeff (Lisa) Knipper of Clinton, Karmen Morris of Manchester and Danielle (Dan) Goebel of Masonville; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Troy was born April 11, 1971, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Kenneth and Marilyn (Zeimetz) Kiernan. On April 19, 1997, he was united in marriage to Kelly Lendt.
Troy was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed fishing with his sons. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the family in Troy's memory.
