Anamosa State Penitentiary promoted Patricia Dettbarn (see photo) from nursing supervisor 1 to nursing services director.
Tilt-Up Concrete Association, Mount Vernon, promoted Mitch Bloomquist (see photo) from project manager to managing director.
Windstream, based in Detroit, Mich., with operations in Hiawatha, moved up Kristin King (see photo) to vice president of direct sales for the Great Lakes Region, which includes Iowa. She had been vice president of account management in the central region.

The 2013 Iowa Awards for Excellence in Recycling honorees were Mercy Medical Center for Recycling Project of the Year and CCI Industries in DeWitt for Best Organization Recycling Program.
KJWW Engineering Consultants was named one of the top 10 engineering firms in the United States, according to Building Design + Construction magazine's 2013 Giants 300 report.
Sandy Andreasen, PIP Printing and Marketing Services in Iowa City, was named Salesperson of the Year for the Midwestern region.
The LearningRx Cedar Rapids center was presented with the 2013 Customer Service Award.
The Cedar Rapids Water Pollution Control Facility will receive a Gold Peak Performance Award for 2012 from the National Association of Clean Water Agencies. The facility has previously received the award for 2011 and 2007.
JOB FAIR
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, along with lead sponsors University of Phoenix and Rockwell Collins, will host “Hiring Our Heroes: Cedar Rapids,” a job fair for veterans and military spouses, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 20, at the National Guard Armory, 1500 W.
