GCRCF Hires Vice President of Development

The Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation Hires Vice President of Development

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Aug. 18, 2011 – The Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation (GCRCF) today announced that Amy Johnson Boyle will join the organization as Vice President of Development effective October 3.

As the Vice President of Development, Johnson Boyle will be responsible for leading the non-profit's development, planned giving and donor service activities.

“Amy is an excellent addition to our staff,” said Les Garner, president and CEO. “She has a strong background in fund development, nonprofit management and community relations that will serve the foundation, our donors and the community well.”

Currently, Johnson Boyle is the Vice President of Major Gifts and Community Relations for the St. Luke's Health Care Foundation. She previously directed marketing and communications efforts at the Cedar Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce and Coe College. In 1995, she served as interim president at the Chamber. Johnson Boyle was a news reporter and anchor at KGAN TV from 1987 to 2000.

Amy is an active community volunteer and serves on the boards of the American Cancer Society, Community Free Health Free Clinic and Horizons. She was appointed to the Cedar Rapids Ethics Commission in 2010 by Cedar Rapids Mayor Ron Corbett.
