Ronald E. Bothwell, 70, of Eau Claire, Wis., formerly of Pisgah, Iowa, died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017, at home.
A Celebration of Life service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 4, at Grace Baptist Church in Chippewa Falls, Wis., where friends may visit from 10 to 10:45 a.m. before the service.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Bothwell of Eau Claire; daughters, April (Jon) Holliday and Aspen (Pastor Bill) McCoy, and son, David Bothwell, all of Eau Claire; son, Pastor Joshua (Sherri) Bothwell of Mondovi, Wis.; brother, John Springer of Spring, Texas; sister, Pat Beers of Chetek, Wis.; and 14 grandchildren.
Ron was preceded in death by his father, Harry Bothwell; mother and stepfather, Ida and Jack Springer; and brother, Gary Bothwell.
Ron was born Sept. 17, 1946, in Pisgah, Iowa, to Harry and Ida Bothwell. He worked diligently to provide for his family as a journeyman electrician for 40 years. In addition, he recently enjoyed driving a school bus for Student Transit in Eau Claire.
Ron was an active member of Bible Baptist Church in Eau Claire and previously a member of Grace Baptist Church in Marion, Iowa. His favorite pastime and ministry was sharing his faith in the Lord Jesus. He loved to tell others how the Lord had abundantly changed his life for good. Young people and teens were particularly special to him.
