CAROLYN (KLINKENBERG) BERNS

Carolyn (Klinkenberg) Berns, 76, of St. Olaf, Iowa, died Monday, Nov. 2, 2015, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. She was born on Oct. 2, 1939, in Monona, Iowa, the daughter of Alvin and Mabel (Hakert) Klinkenberg.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Donald; two children, Lee Berns of Garnavillo and Dee (John) Hense of Strawberry Point; four grandchildren, Matthew Hense, NaTasha, Dustin and Dalton Berns; one sister, Mildred Kelly; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Henry Klinkenberg.
Arrangements are being handled by Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, 001 S Industrial Park Rd., Garnavillo, Iowa, where the family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 9. Funeral service will be at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 9, with the Rev. Gary Hatcher officiating. Interment will be at Garnavillo Community Cemetery, Garnavillo, Iowa.
