Immigrants are not dangerous people

To the editor:
I'm sympathetic to all the governors and Republican presidential candidates who say we should not allow immigrants from dangerous countries. For example, we should never allow immigrants from communist Cuba. They might be communist infiltrators. Ted Cruz's dad and Marco Rubio's parents came from Cuba and may have been spies.
Don't get me started on German immigrants. They could be Nazis. And none of those Scandinavian socialists. Whoops. There goes my family, most Iowans, and Gov. Terry Branstad (Norwegian). Oh well, that is a small price to pay for freedom and security in the U.S.
We should have the Statue of Liberty carry a machine gun, not a torch. Those huddled masses yearning to breathe free can't be trusted.
See you on the deportation boats.
