Drivers, details released in Highway 1 crash in Solon
UPDATE: A Solon man was injured when the car he was driving and a semi-trailer truck collided on Highway 1 in Solon Thursday night, according to an Iowa State Patrol report.
Gregory Jay Vacek, 35, of Solon, was turning north from Stinocher Street in Solon onto Highway 1 at around 9:30 p.m. Thursday when his car was struck by a southbound truck driven by Jesse Nathaniel Tate, 52, of Cusseta, Ga.
Vacek was taken to University Hospitals in Iowa City. Tate wasn't hurt in the collision.
The accident remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol.
