Doris Eileen Pugh, 78, of Springville, passed away Monday, March 13, 2017, at Jones County Regional Medical Center in Anamosa.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 23, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
Doris was born on Oct. 28, 1938, in Benton County, Iowa, to Pearl and Mary Evens. She was united in marriage to Roy Eugene Pugh on Oct. 1, 1966. Doris loved to go for motorcycle rides with Roy. They were members of the BMW Motorcycle Owners Club and "HOG" Harley Owners Group. She was an avid collector of knickknacks, especially those that were Boston terriers, skunks and tigers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; her parents; and two brothers.
Doris is survived by her daughter, Cindy Herr of Alaska; stepson, Philip (Regina) Pugh of Missouri; grandchildren, Bonnie Herr and Eric Boots; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Anna Seebach, Evelyn (Donnie) Donley, Betty Thompson and Rose Anderson; brothers, David (Pam) Evens and Gene Evens; and sister-in-law, Belva Fogwell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
