PROMOTIONS
Hills Bank and Trust Co. has promoted Dale Farland (see photo) from trust officer to vice president, trust officer, in the North Liberty office. Also promoted were Heidi Hancock (see photo) from real estate loan originator to real estate loan officer in the Cedar Rapids office and Dave Hochstetler (see photo) from vice president, commercial banking, to senior vice president, commercial banking, in the Kalona office.
Design Engineers, Cedar Rapids, has promoted Justin Marxen (see photo), previously an associate and mechanical project engineer, to associate principal. Also promoted were Jonathan Gettler (see photo) and Eric Bruxvoort (see photo), both previously electrical project engineers, to associates.
NEW HIRES
Caroline Moniza (see photo) has joined Mercy Family Counseling as a child clinical psychologist. Previously, she was in private practice and was also a consulting psychologist for the Minnesota Early Autism Project.
Knutson Construction Services has hired three associates in its Iowa City offices. Kevin Knoll (see photo) and Richard Mills (see photo), both previously with Carl A. Nelson & Co., based in Burlington, were named general superintendent and superintendent respectively. Justin Holthaus (see photo), previously with InVision Architecture, based in Denver, Colo., was named project engineer.

Linn County Jail Health Services Coordinator Dana L. Murray (see photo) has received the national designation of Certified Correctional Health Professional.

Robin Walenta (see photo), president and CEO of West Music Co., based in Coralville, will be honored at the 2014 Women's International Music Network She Rocks Awards ceremony Jan. 24 in Anaheim, Calif.
The Iowa City Area Development Group was honored by the MidAmerica Economic Development Council with an Economic Development Award for FY 2012 Annual Report.
SEMINAR
