Biggest hope found in Bible verse
The Gazette Opinion Staff

I just had a friend who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He is a millionaire plus and a very nice person to know. But no matter who we are or what we have achieved, the following is true:
1. I came into this world with nothing and I will depart with nothing.
2. Life is but a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.
3. It is appointed unto man once to die ...
4. For the wages of sin is death. We all have sinned.
But as you will see in today's Super Bowl and many times in sporting events this following verse from the Bible: John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
I don't find that evolution or any other belief gives us this hope after death. Are you ready when your day comes to depart this life? I believe my friend is.
