SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- It isn't just talk. Bob Stoops and Kirk Friends are good friends. If not, could Stoops have told this story about painting Ferentz's house over 25 years ago because he said Ferentz wasn't particularly adept at it?
The Iowa and Oklahoma head football coaches go way back, and speak of each other fondly. This video from Stoops' Wednesday Insight Bowl press conference says a lot:
