Iowa Coach Kirk Ferentz on Big Ten teleconference

Iowa Coach Kirk Ferentz said this morning on the Big Ten Teleconference that tackle Bryan Bulaga, tight end Tony Moeaki and wide receiver Derrell Johnson-Koulianos are "still day-to-day" after all missed the last game with undisclosed illnesses and injuries.

A few other notes:

On responding to criticism of QB Ricky Stanzi and a few inconsistent plays in the passing game prompting boos from the fan base.

"I felt like holding a sign in Kinnick Stadium and say the receiver broke the route," he said.

On freshman running backs Brandon Wegher and Adam Robinson:

"I wouldn't say they've arrived yet."

On the running game in general:

"We're very young at that position, and I promise you neither one of those guys have been an environment remotely close to (Penn State)."
