Trish Mehaffey Mar. 30, 2011 1:09 pm
The sexual exploitation trial of a former Olin High School teacher has been reset again for April 19 in Jones County District Court.
Jeremy Chamberlin, 33, is charged with one count of sexual exploitation by a school employee, three counts of dissemination of obscene material to a minor and two counts of lascivious conduct with a minor. He is accused of engaging in in appropriate behavior with a 15-year-old student, including touching, text messaging and obscene picture texts, between September 2009 and January 2010.
His trial was continued Monday for May 3 but had to be reset because he refused to sign a speedy trial waiver, which would allow the trial to take place a year after being charge.
A hearing for a motion to dismiss also was set April 4.
