Traffic camera revenue staggering

To the editor:
The Cedar Rapids traffic camera revenue of $21 million reported in the Dec. 14 Gazette is staggering ('City raises questions of fairness”).
Could it possibly be that an investigative review of email exchanged between the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission members might expose a secondary reason for declining the license for a Cedar Rapids casino. There is speculation that some commission members, after reviewing the Cedar Rapids revenue stream, determined that the city was already operating an unlicensed casino called 'Cedar Crossing Cameras.”
