DES MOINES -- Lisbon won a pair of state titles on Saturday night at Wells Fargo Arena.
Sophomore Nick Williams, in his first trip to the state tournament, recorded an early takedown and hung on to beat Hinton's Cole Mills, 4-3. His teammate, sophomore Carter Happel, followed up by turning and pinning CLGLR's Colby McIntire in the second period, winning by fall in 3:05.While it was Williams' first trip to the tournament, this was Happel's second championship. In the tournament's quarterfinals, he pinned Alburnett's Hunter Washburn, a fellow defending champion.
