CEDAR RAPIDS - The investigation continues after a 39-year-old Cedar Rapids man suffered from injuries after he was punched and stabbed in Northwest Cedar Rapids Monday evening.
According to Cedar Rapids police Sgt. Cristy Hamblin, after 1:20 p.m. Shane Manley headed to 420 Ninth St. NW to "talk to three subjects." But while he was there, he was punched and stabbed, causing him to suffer from a laceration across his back and a cut to his knee, she added.
Hamblin said Manley called a friend who took him by private car to 1425 Sixth Ave. SE, where he was picked up by Area Ambulance and transported to Mercy Hospital. Police were also first called to this location, she said.
Police continue to investigate the assault with a dangerous weapon, but no arrests have yet been made.
