Michelle Diane Anderson was born May 2, 1967, the daughter of David and Phyllis (Howard) Anderson. She graduated from New Hampton High School in 1986 and attended Hawkeye Community College, Iowa State University and graduated magna cum laude from Park University. Michelle worked as senior system engineer for the federal court system in Cedar Rapids. Previously she worked at Sprint in Overland Park, Kan., and Kubik in Leavenworth, Kan. Before that she served her country in the U.S. Army in military intelligence for six years.
Throughout her careers she lived in Germany, Korea and Honduras and found her passion for travel. She journeyed across the world and preferred to do it in the company of her family and friends. She couldn't wait for the next trip! She always was a willing companion to a new adventure; all you had to do was ask. Michelle touched the lives of so many that way, with her willingness to accompany you to the ends of the earth, or the bar down the street.
Generous to a fault, faithful and loyal to her core, Michelle's zest for life and her trademark laugh will echo in the hearts and halls of all who loved her.
Michelle loved golfing, reading, her kitties, video games, movies and most importantly, her family. Her family was the cornerstone of her life.
She is survived by her parents, David and Phyllis Anderson of New Hampton; two sisters, Lori (Missy) Anderson of Marion and Cheryl (Paul) Anderson of Alta Vista; two brothers, Greg (Sally) Anderson of Chesapeake Beach, Md., and Brian (Karissa) Anderson of Robins; nieces and nephews, Joshua, Stephen, Tony, CJ, Emma, Brianna and Kellsie Anderson, Sarah (George) Tzomides, Jacob and Terra Rosonke; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
