Gary L. Stunes, 67, of Wellman, formerly of Cedar Rapids and Iowa City, passed away peacefully at home with his wife, Sherry, by his side on May 30, 2015.
Gary was born Sept. 9, 1947, in Little Falls, Minn., to Donna and Loye Stunes. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
He spent his adult life as a general contractor. Gary enjoyed collecting antiques and was an avid collector.
Gary married Sherry on Oct. 25, 1988. He is survived by his children, Mike Stunes and Michelle Klamerus. Gary also had two stepchildren, Tony (Lori) Bolanos and Teresa (Joe) Hart; five grandchildren; a sister, Rita Harper; a nephew, Daniel Stunes; and many special friends.
A celebration of Gary's life will be held at a later time.
