She taught business courses at the business college in Clinton and was a piano and organ instructor most of her working life.
Virginia married Arthur Komrofske on Nov. 28, 1945, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Clinton. Two children were born to this union. They divorced in 1971. She married L.L. Budde who later died in 1997. She then moved to Coralville to live near her daughter and husband. On March 10, 2001, she was united in marriage to Duane E. Means. Quilting was one of her hobbies and she made quilts for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered by many for her warm personality, strong faith, positive attitude and great spirit!
