Job fair set for downtown Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS - More than 50 employers will participate in a job fair Thursday afternoon in downtown Cedar Rapids.

The Corridor Career Fair presents an opportunity not only for those looking for a job, but also for those who have a job but want to move up, said event organizer Heidi Hora.

'If you have a job, but want a better job, this is your chance to meet with 55 local companies looking for top talent,” she said.

The job fair runs from 4 to 7 p.m. at the DoubleTree, 350 First Ave. NE. It is sponsored by The Gazette and its affiliated website, CorridorCareers.com.

For a list of employers scheduled to be there, and to register beforehand, visit the website. Job seekers who register online beforehand and then check in at the event will be entered in a drawing for a $100 Visa gift card. The first 250 attendees will receive vouchers to park free in any downtown public ramp.
