Second Amendment is not excuse for violence

It the Tuesday, Aug. 5 Gazette, there was a letter stating the NRA has given Bruce Braley an F rating. If I needed anything to add to my decision to voting for Bruce Braley, this took care of it. Any organization or any individual who believes you need an assault weapon in your home for protection or hunting purposes, either needs lessons in how to handle a handgun or rifle, or a better understanding of the Second Amendment. It was not written to be used as an excuse for violence. Since it appears Bruce Braley must be thinking along the same lines, for me at least, I place his rating as A plus.
