William F. Wilcox, 78, of Brooklyn, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021, at his home. A memorial service and inurnment will be at a later date. A memorial fund has been established in Bill's name. Kloster Funeral Home, Brooklyn, is assisting the family with arrangements.
William was born Oct. 11, 1942, in Victor, Iowa, the son of William and Frances Cram Wilcox. He received his education in the area schools and married Judy Urfer on July 23, 1966, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Brooklyn. The couple resided in Brooklyn for their entire married life of 54 years.
Bill was employed over 46 years with a manufacturing company that made wood pallets for Amana. He also worked with Hansen Construction. In his free time, Bill enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved all animals, especially his Golden Retrievers.
Bill is survived by his wife, Judy; a son, Brian (Jessica) of Brooklyn; two grandsons, Connor and Spencer; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Kyler; a sister, Shirley; and a brother, Jerry.
