Dye, Barbara Jean
Barbara Jean Dye, 53, of 20649 - 247th St., Delhi, died Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, at home of a brain aneurysm. Services: 10 a.m. Friday at Teahen Funeral Home by Julie May. Burial: Cedar Memorial Cemetery. Friends may visit Thursday from 3 to 8 p.m. at Teahen Funeral Home and again after 9 a.m. Friday. Barbara is survived by two daughters, Carrie Jobe of Cedar Rapids and Sarah Martin of Delhi; a stepson, Jason Dye of Marion; father, John (Marlene) Ridder of Russellville, Ark.; three grandchildren, Corbin, Olivia and Delaney; two sisters, Janet Ridder of Delhi and Trish (James) Logan of Coggon; three brothers, Steve and Ed Ridder both of Prescott, Ariz., and Doug (Sherry) Ridder of Hillside Bagdad, Ariz., and several nieces and nephews.
Her husband Gary, mother Rose, in-laws Jack and Marnell Dye and a niece precede Barbara in death.
Barbara Jean Dye was born April 12, 1956, in Cedar Falls, daughter of John and Rose Gerholdt Ridder. She married Gary Dye on Aug. 1, 1992, in Toddville. Barbara obtained a degree in Horticulture and Landscaping. She volunteered at Kirkwood Resource Center and Bailey's Ford in Manchester.
