Kathleen M. Davis, 76, of Central City, passed away Friday, April 8, 2016, peacefully in her home. A Celebration of Life will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 12, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Marion by Pastor Greg Williamson. The family will greet friends one hour before the service. Following services, guests are invited to join the family for a luncheon.
Survivors include her two sisters, Marylyn (Dick) Krog of Central City and Carolyn (Darrell) Brasier of Galeton, Colo.; and three nephews, Dennis (Linda) Krog of Marion, John (Laura) Krog of Shellsburg and Bob (Brenda) Andrick of Wake Forest, N.C.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Kathleen was born Oct. 21, 1939, in Marshalltown, Iowa, to Howard and Emma (Armbrecht) Davis. She retired from United Airlines in 2001 after a 44-year career in the industry. She was a devout Christian (and lifelong Lutheran) who loved her family, singing in the choir, her dog, "Wookie," and politics.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 915 27th St., Marion, IA 52302.
