Ken was born Oct. 5, 1940, in Cedar Rapids to Lester and Geneva (Jarboe) Klingler. He graduated from Marion High School in 1959 and attended Upper Iowa University in Fayette. He married Joan Garbers on Jan. 9, 1965. They were divorced in 1975, and on Oct. 21, 1977, he married Mary Minnis Pinter in Marion.
Ken is survived by his wife, Mary; his daughters, Kris (Anthony) Gandia and Kara (Bob) Done; and his stepchildren, who he took in as young children and loved as his own, Dawn (Othello) Rollon, Dana Pinter Karasek and Chad (Kristin) Pinter. He also is survived by 12 grand-children and one great-grandchild.
Ken started his own home improvement business in 1980 and truly enjoyed helping his customers.
The family hopes that if you have tears right now, they are tears of joy and not sorrow, because Ken is finally home and resting in one of the many rooms in our Father's house that He prepared for each of us.
In lieu of flowers, Ken requested that any memorial money be sent to the Marion Athletic Booster Club, 675 S. 15th St., Marion, IA 52302.
