Letter: What if we all stood together as one?

Why are religious groups not up in arms regarding the events in Charlottesville? I would have to believe that there would be a 'holy hell” raised against the KKK, neo-Nazi and white supremacist cults by all established religions - Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Atheists, Deists. etc. (I know Atheism is not a religion, but adherents still oppose violence).
It would seem to me this is a perfect time to organize an interfaith demonstration with people from all beliefs, including non-religious groups. Imagine a collection of Republicans and Democrats, pro-life and pro-choice, millennials and baby boomers, veterans, Trump supporters … you name it. All they need have in common is a feeling of disgust for the violent extremists. I would be very interested in the list of both participants and non-participants following an invitation to attend this gathering.
This thought was a result of my wife's question: 'What could we do that Germany didn't when the Nazi's rose up?”
