Appointments

The Cedar Rapids Museum of Art recently welcomed Angela Kron (see photo) as development director. Kron has worked in not-for-profits throughout the corridor for nearly 10 years.

Rachel Rockwell (see photo) was named director of ISU Linn County Extension. Rockwell brings more than 15 years combined experience in the financial, business development and not-for-profit arenas.

Promotions

Nicki Ross (see photo) was promoted to development and communications manager with the Catherine McAuley Center in Cedar Rapids. Ross was previously transitional housing program coordinator.

Verne Cadwell (see photo) was named vice president of the crop hail division at Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Co. located in Grinnell. Cadwell's promotion follows a 12-year career at Grinnell Mutual, where he has served as the crop hail claims manager.

The Amana Colonies Convention and Visitors Bureau board of directors named Sarah Tarnowski as executive director. Tarnowski has served as the assistant director of the ACCVB and has been with the organization since January 2010.

Jenni Friedly (see photo) was named executive director of surgical services for Allen Hospital in Waterloo. Friedly has served as clinical director of surgical services at the hospital for two years.

Elections

Joe Riley (see photo), co-founder and general manager of FEC Solutions, was elected to the board of directors of Iowa Biotechnology Association. Riley will co-chair the membership committee and will work to grow the bioproducts committee.
