Ronald Rodney LaVelle, 79, of Greeley, Colo., passed away Jan. 5, 2021.
The son of Rodney and Dorothy (Carie) Lavelle was born Jan. 21, 1941, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ellen; his family; and sister, Janice R. Smith.
He grew up working with his father on the family farm until graduating from Jefferson High School. He then relocated to Colorado Springs, Colo., and joined the Air Force, then served at the Air Force Academy.
Rod was a true Irishman; witty, stubborn and a charmer.
