Boys’ track and field: Area individuals to watch

Area boys' track and field individuals to watch for the 2015 season, with last year's state results:

LANDEN AKERS, sr., Cedar Rapids Washington - Placed 3rd in the Class 4A 400.

SHAUN BEYER, jr., Cedar Rapids Kennedy - Placed 2nd in Class 4A shuttle hurdle relay, 3rd in the high jump.

AUSTIN FLIEDER, sr., Linn-Mar - Class 4A state champion in the 1,600 medley relay, 3rd in the 400 relay and 800 relay.

CONNOR HAM, sr., Solon - Class 3A state champion in the 110 hurdles and 200, 2nd in the 400 relay and 3rd in the 800 relay.

RYAN IZER, sr., Turkey Valley - Placed 2nd in the Class 1A 1,600, 3rd in the 3,200.

MATT MANTERNACH, jr., Monticello - Class 2A state champion in the 3,200 relay and 1,600 medley relay. 7th in the 3,200.

MICHAEL MARSHALL, sr., Center Point-Urbana - Class 3A state champion in the 1,600 relay and 3,200 relay, 3rd in the 1,600 medley relay.

BRYSON RUNGE, sr., Iowa City High - Placed 3rd in the Class 4A 100 and 200, 4th in the 400 relay.

TREY SQUIERS, sr., Belle Plaine - Placed 2nd in the Class 1A 3,200 relay and 1,600 medley relay, 5th in the 1,600.

KEEGAN TRITLE, sr., Lisbon - Class 1A state champion in the shot put.

TYSEN VAN DRASKA, jr., Cedar Rapids Prairie - Class 4A state champion in the 3,200 relay. 4th in the 800.

JOSH YEAGER, sr., Center Point-Urbana - Class 3A state champion in the 3,200 relay, 3rd in the 1,600 medley relay, 4th in the 1,600 and 3,200.
