Mary Phan, 59, of Marion, died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha, after a brave battle with cancer. Per her request, there will be no services. Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Marion, is caring for Mary and her family.
Survivors include her husband of over 39 years, Chanh; sons, Jason (Fay) and Kevin Phan; grandchildren, Marinda and Kaden Phan; brothers, William (Belinda) Bursovsky and Steve (Jody) Bursovsky; and sister, Joann (Frank) Byrns.
Mary Thresa Phan was born Nov. 3, 1957, in Cedar Rapids, to William and Darlene (Heddinger) Bursovsky. She married Chanh Phan on Aug. 20, 1977, in Cedar Rapids. She enjoyed fishing and watching Disney movies. Mary loved animals and her pets, including Milo, and spending time with children. She enjoyed listening to music, especially Bruce Springsteen. She was a lovely woman and will be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
