Ardyth "Ardy" Louise Seidel, 93, died Monday,
April 30, 2018, at Emery Place in Robins. A funeral service will be held at noon Thursday, May 3, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Ardyth Louise Hartkemeyer was born Dec. 31, 1924, in Groton, S.D., to Christain Hartkemeyer and Ida (Kubite) Hartkemeyer. She married Dr. C.C. Seidel on May 23, 1959, in Rock Island, Ill. Ardyth was a Democratic committee chair member for President John F. Kennedy. She enjoyed watching soap operas, traveling, entertaining, and her three dogs, two dachshunds Barney and Gretchen, and one poodle, Gigi.
Ardyth is survived by one son, Andrew (Dawn) Seidel of Leonardtown, Md.; two daughters, Linda (Greg) Nelson of Wichita, Kan., and Daveeta (Joe) Taylor of Marion; four grandchildren, Nicole, Michael, Scott and Devin; and five great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Brandon, Michael, Spencer and Mandy.
Ardyth was preceded in death by her husband, parents and eight siblings.
Memorial donations may be directed to UnityPoint Hospice.
