Golly, I love Twitter. Here is a potpourri of reactions on that social media site to the Big Ten's one-game suspension of Michigan State defensive end William Gholston for punching Michigan offensive lineman Taylor Lewan in their game last Saturday.

REALScottDevine Looks like
Gholston plays too hard for the BigTen's liking
@
Maghielse MSU's puncher's chance against Wisconsin was its defense. Losing Gholston dramatically downgrades that chance
@
WillyOtts What a joke, MSU won't suspend Gholston so the Big 10 steps in. State fans need look no farther than this to understand their reputation.
@sbell021: William Gholston: tragic hero.
@
ZachKulak Looks like William Gholston will be playing 60 minutes of Angry Birds instead of unnecessary roughness this Saturday.
@
bobwojnowski I don't know what's worse: Michigan fans obsessed about
Gholston, or MSU fans obsessed about Michigan fans obsessed about
Gholston
@
AlexTheDank UM fans complaining about the "punch" thrown by Gholston: You should be upset no one on your team had that kind of passion and intensity.

cjluttinen Gholston suspended, biggest victory for UM football over MSU in 4 years
@
JohnVeldhuis Big Ten made the right call on
Gholston. Actions were inexcusable, and it reflects badly on MSU/Dantonio that they refused to suspend him.

MrAWFULsuits Who cares about Gholston? I hate college football.
