Linda Hansel, 53, died Friday, Dec. 25, 2015, at UnityPoint Health-St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, following a battle with COPD. A celebration of life will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, in the Lawrence Room at the Lawrence Community Center in Anamosa. Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa, has been entrusted with Linda's arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
Surviving are her husband, Lynn; four sons, William, Jacob and Joshua, all of Martelle, and Timothy of Mechanicsville; 10 grandchildren; her mother, Roberta Rowell, Cedar Rapids; and three siblings, Tina Angell, Mechanicsville, Richard Angell, Solon, and Keith Angell, Marion.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard.
Linda Marie Angell was born Dec. 28, 1961, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Richard and Roberta Brott Angell. Linda graduated from Solon High School in 1980. She was employed by AsGrow Seed Co. Linda married Lynn Hansel on Nov. 5, 1988, in Anamosa. In more recent years, she had worked for Dollar General Stores in Lisbon, Norfolk, Va., and Anamosa. Her health resulted in her retirement in 2013.
