CEDAR RAPIDS — A Reinbeck man pleaded guilty Tuesday in federal court to child pornography and faces five to 20 years in prison.
Andrew Schrock, 32, formerly of Marion, admitted during the plea hearing to receiving the explicit images and videos on the Internet from March 2013 to March 2014. He also admitted to knowing the images and videos were of individuals younger than 12.
The plea agreement shows Schrock had 96 videos and more than 500 images of child pornography.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Mark Tremmel said the other charge against him, possession of child pornography will be dismissed at sentencing as part of the plea agreement.
Schrock faces a mandatory minimum sentence of five years and up to 20 years in prison, up to a $250,000 fine and possible victim restitution. He will also have to serve a term of supervised release after his prison time.
