William (Willie) G. Jones Jr., 67, of Cedar Rapids died Friday, April 6, 2018, at home. A celebration of life will be held at Marion Columbus Club, 5650 Kacena Ave., Marion, on Sunday, April 22 at 1 p.m.
Willie is survived by his wife, Virginia Jones; daughter, Traci (Larry) Wolfe Jr.; brother, Brian Jones; and sister, Elida Jones, all of Cedar Rapids; and three grandchildren, Dylan, Karter, Ryan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Iola Jones Sr.
Willie was born Sept. 8, 1950, in Cedar Rapids and was a longtime resident. He also lived in California in his early years. He loved all kinds of races - NASCAR, mud runs and drag. Willie was one to always say things to make people laugh and he had a heart of gold. When he loved, he loved hard. He worked construction most of his life, including setting up mobile homes.
