CEDAR RAPIDS - Mayoral candidate Kris Gulick has picked up the endorsement of the Greater Cedar Rapids Housing & Building Association, the organization announced today.
Gulick is a Certified Public Accountant who has served on the Cedar Rapids City Council since 2005.
'Not only is Kris the most prepared, experienced and committed candidate, but he also understands the value of neighborhood development and how economic development affects resident's ability to own their own home,” said Chad Pelley, president of the Housing & Building Association. The group touted Gulick's 'demonstrated commitment” to responsible development and zoning, promotion of homeownership, affordable housing and experience in economic development.
Gulick is one of eight candidates seeking the seat being vacated by Mayor Ron Corbett, who is not seeking re-election as he runs for governor.
Early voting has begun and Election Day is on Nov. 7.
