Lynn Fear, 74, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2021, at Hiawatha Care Center. Private services will be held at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, at The Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories Stateroom. As mandated by proclamation, social distancing must be practiced, which requires a limited number of people to be allowed into the visitation at one time. The use of face masks or shields is required. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. A livestream of the funeral service may be accessed on the funeral home website under the obituary for Lynn A. Fear Sr., under the video tab starting at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30.
Survivors include daughter, Christine Fear Santaguida; sons, Al (Kathy) Fear and John (Ruthie) Fear; and grandchildren, Holly Santaguida (Mark Maldonado), Megan Fear, Todd Fear, Eric Santaguida, Luke Fear, Tyler Fear, Kyle Fear, Jack Fear and Mark Fear.
Preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Jim and Dennis Fear.
Lynn Fear was born on Nov. 13, 1946, in Hopkinton, Iowa, to Albert and Lola Mae Fear. He moved to Cedar Rapids Iowa in 1968. Lynn worked at FMC and later at Rockwell Collins. He retired from Rockwell in May of 2018. Lynn was an active member of Good News Baptist Church and enjoyed volunteering to help others. He was a great friend, passionate about his family and loved his grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Wounded Warrior Foundation.
