Gerald Arthur Weber was born May 5, 1929, in Sand Springs, the son of Art and Loretta (Gudenkauf) Weber. He received his education in the rural schools near his home. Gerald Weber and Agnes Naber were married Sept. 20, 1949, at St Francis Basilica, Dyersville. They farmed in Coggon for one year, then moved to their farm northwest of Sand Springs. Jerry sold Clay Equipment, Arts Way feed mixers and Kasmaul seed corn for many years as well. Jerry loved to travel but going to the Indianapolis 500 was his main outing every spring. He had held season tickets for over 40 years. Farming was his passion and his life. He quit farming when he took his last breath.
The family would like to thank West Ridge Care Center and UnityPoint Hospice for their care and comfort in Jerry's last days. They especially want to thank Randy Clark, who was Jerry's companion and driver for the past 4 1/2 years.
