Free throws proved to be the difference as the Prairie Hawks beat the Rams, 49-45, last night in Dubuque.
Emilie Rotter led Prairie (3-15, 3-9 MVC) with 11 points and five rebounds while Jenna Wegemester scored nine points and Olivia Usher had seven points, five rebounds, and five assists.
Makenzie Williams led all scorers with 17 points for the Rams (6-13, 5-7) while pulling down eight rebounds. Emma Noel had 12 points.
IOWA CITY WEST 58, C.R. JEFFERSON 26 - Dani Craig led Class 5A sixth-ranked West with 18 points and had four 3-pointers at Jefferson.
Grace Tafolla had 12 points and Mikaela Morgan added 10 points for the Women of Troy.
Avery Guy led the J-Hawks with 10 points.
C.R. XAVIER 65, WATERLOO WEST 29 - No. 7 (4A) Xavier held the Wahawks to just seven field goals in the game. The Saints (14-5) had a 42-12 halftime lead in Waterloo.
Lizzy Bailey led all scorers with 18 points, knocking down three from behind the arc. Morgan Breitbach chipped in 11 and led the team with four assists.
MARION 58, WILLIAMSBURG 34 - Michalyn Moore scored 16 points to lead all players as the 13th-ranked (4A) Indians beat the Raiders in Marion.
Chloe Rice, Caitlyn Smith, and Amanda Sahm scored 10 points each for Marion (16-4, 11-2 WAMAC West).
Julie Hollensbe led Williamsburg (3-18, 2-11) with 13 points.

- Molly Hembera recorded a double-double as the Huskies beat the Regents to snap an eight-game losing skid. Hembera scored 25 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, and also had nine steals. Emma Slagle scored nine points while Maggie Cach had eight points for Cedar Valley Christian (8-12, 4-7 Tri-Rivers).
Kristin Kimball led Waterloo Christian (2-19) with 12 points.
